Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Art Conservation Education (hereinafter referred to as "ACE") to its clients. By engaging with ACE, clients agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.

2. Services Provided

ACE specializes in educational training, workshops, and consultations in the field of art conservation. Services will be delivered as per the agreed project proposal or estimate provided to the client.

3. Estimates and Invoices

  • All estimates provided by ACE are valid for 14 days unless otherwise specified.

  • Estimates are not binding until formally accepted by the client.

  • An invoice will be issued upon completion of the project or as specified in the agreed terms.

  • Payment is due within 30 days of receipt of the invoice unless alternative terms are agreed in writing.

  • All payments should be made via bank transfer to the account details provided on the invoice.

4. VAT and Tax Compliance

  • ACE operates under Dutch tax law and is VAT-exempt for educational activities, as per Article 11, Paragraph 1, Subsection o of the Dutch Turnover Tax Act (Wet op de Omzetbelasting 1968).

  • Clients outside the Netherlands are responsible for compliance with their local tax regulations.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and timely information required for the successful delivery of services.

  • Ensuring all permissions, access, and materials necessary for ACE to conduct its work are arranged in advance.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations must be communicated in writing.

  • For cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the scheduled start date, ACE reserves the right to charge up to 50% of the agreed project fee.

  • Rescheduling requests will be accommodated where possible but may incur additional costs if changes result in extra expenses for ACE.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All materials provided by ACE during workshops or training, including handouts, presentations, and reports, remain the intellectual property of ACE.

  • Clients may not reproduce, distribute, or modify these materials without prior written consent from ACE.

8. Confidentiality

ACE agrees to treat all client information and project details as confidential unless express permission is granted for disclosure.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • ACE will deliver services to the best of its ability but cannot guarantee specific outcomes or results.

  • ACE is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses incurred by the client during or after the project.

10. Force Majeure

ACE shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to fulfill its obligations due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or governmental actions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Maastricht.

12. Amendments

ACE reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes in writing.
