From October 6–8, 2025, join us for a three-day hands-on learning experience focused on the Mist-Lining technique—a gentle, effective method for the structural treatment of canvas paintings.

What’s Mist-Lining All About?

Mist-lining is a non-invasive approach developed at SRAL (Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg) in the 1990s. It supports pre-treated canvas paintings without using moisture, heat, or high pressure—ideal for sensitive or previously restored works. It’s a smart, subtle technique that every painting conservator should have in their toolkit.
